Learning from the Streets

Hey lovely subscriber and follower

This is a tad awkward as I realise I haven’t written anything on here for over a year, and so this is a blog that’s a bit like a first contact with someone you haven’t seen for a long time and you don’t really know what to say. Like there wasn’t an argument, but they just disappeared, and I suppose that’s what I did. Sort of. So..here’s a tentative hello again…

Because I was still writing, and wrote probably 50 blogs on my other site this year, including some creative poetry, spirituality and emotional health stuff (do check it out here http://www.jamesballantyne.blog

I’ve also been writing a children’s book, which is going well, slowly, but well.

In a way so much I have been writing, and learning about has been linked to the core stuff of youthwork, it’s all linked somehow, but that’s where my attention has been in 2024, and encouragingly I’ve had the joy of doing some detached youthwork training, supervision and do some learning in these areas too this year.

So.. I’m not going to promise lots of writing here in 2025 with the big project of a book ongoing, however, I will promise maybe 1 a month….let’s see how that goes..

As I end 2024, I want to say thank you.

Thank you because you still read my blog in 2024 even if i didn’t write anything on here…thank you, and i hope you found something useful for you or to share with others.
